Cathal Duggan is an artist and filmmaker, originally from County Galway and currently based in County Westmeath. His clear-line pen style has graced Superhero Showcase (2009), a superhero satire published by the spoof publisher Windell Comics, "The Living Proton" in the anthology Sorry I can't take your call right now but I'm off saving the world (2008), and another Windell comic, Supernatural Showcase (2010), all written by Gar Shanley.

He studied screenwriting at the Dun Laoghaire Institute of Art, Design and Technology, and wrote the short film The Dog has worms, directed by Shanley. He, Shanley and Richard O'Shea also make Windell animated shorts.

His influences include Chris Ware, David Lynch, Franz Kafka and Marty Whelan.
