Eileen Coghlan (1909-1990)

Eileen Coghlan (b. Kilbeggan, County Westmeath, 18 May 1909; d. Tullamore, County Offaly, 13 April 1990) was an illustrator and cartoonist. Educated at the Dublin Metropolitan School of Art, she primarily illustrated children's books and schoolbooks, but also drew cartoons for Dublin Opinion and contributed a weekly illustrated satirical article to the Irish Press.
