MERRY MARVEL FANZINE
The Merry Marvel Fanzine was a fanzine devoted to Marvel Comics, created and published by Anthony Roche of Dublin (or possibly Dun Laoghaire), launched in late 1966 or early 1967. It was the first comics fanzine in the British Isles, and pretty much all British comics fandom can be traced back to it. Published by mimeograph in blue ink on stapled foolscap, it featured news, reviews, artists profiles, adverts for back issues and competitions. After a year it expanded its coverage beyond Marvel and evolved into Heroes Unlimited.
