Seán Doran is a cartoonist, illustrator and animator from Belfast. In the 90s he drew small press comics, including the anthology NutScrewsWashersNBolts (1990), Bug Wars (a Star Wars parody, c. 1991) and The Amusing Ciderman (with Davy Francis). His collaborations with writer Malachy Coney included Major Power and Spunky, starting in the small press in 1990, and also appearing in in the local arts paper dv8, Gay Comics in 1993, their own one-off special from Fantagraphics' Eros imprint in 1994, and Buddies in 1995. A spin-off, Quiteaguy, was written and drawn in 1994. They also created Catholic Lad, a response to the Hole in the Wall Gang's Orangeman photostrip, for dv8. They created "Lie-Dreams of a Homo Pacedermus" for DNA Swamp #1 in 1997, and "Wake Up" for Gay Comics #25 in 1998.
