Fionnuala Doran

Added by Nicknack009Fionnuala Doran was born in 1984 in Lurgan, County Armagh. She received a BA in Fine and Applied Art from the University of Ulster in 2007. She is currently a co-director of Catalyst Arts in Belfast. She has exhibited in numerous group exhibitions, including ‘Momentum’ at the MCAC, Portadown (2007), the Catalyst Arts Member’s Show (2007), Posted 3: Future Worlds as part of the Art Trail, Cork (2007) and Allotments, Catalyst Arts (2007).
Her comics work has been published in local publications such as Small Axe and The Vaccuum. In 2007 she participated in the Asia-Europe comics project Linga Comica in London, collaborating with Malasian artist Sarah-Joan Mokhtar on "The Good People". On 18-19 October 2008 she organised the Belfast 24 Hour Comics Day event at Catalyst Arts.
For the Belfast 24 Hour Comics event in October 2010 she created Ireland: A History (Condensed).
