Peter Hoye was an Irish artist who, together with Dutch artists Marten and Eiso Toonder, worked on a gag strip called De Goeroe ("the guru") in the Dutch newspaper De Telegraaf in the 1970s. The strip was credited to "Peter Abel", and also appeared in The Irish Times.
