Stephen Mooney

Added by Nicknack009Stephen Mooney is a comics artist from Dublin, who primarily works on film and TV spin-offs for IDW Publishing. He also works as an illustrator, concept artist and storyboard artist in advertising. He is a member of the Eclectic Micks sketchblog.
In Ireland, he drew "Beating the Rap", written by James A. Mason, for the Atomic Diner anthology Naked Lunch in 2002, and shared the art chores with Stephen Thompson on the first fifteen issues of writer Rob Curley's pop-culture/noir series Freakshow from the same publisher from 2004 to 2006.
He made the move to American comics in 2006, drawing the 5-issue miniseries CSI: Crime Scene Investigation: Dying in the Gutters, as well as covers for a variety of series, usually coloured by his partner Lisa Jackson, for IDW Publishing. He drew Strangeland: Seven Sins for Fangoria Comics in 2007, but only one issue was released before the company folded. At IDW he drew The Mummy: The Rise and Fall of Xango's Ax, a 4-issue miniseries, and several issues of Angel: After the Fall in 2008, followed by all three issues of Angel: Not Fade Away and several issues of the ongoing Angel series in 2009, and the four issue miniseries The A-Team: Shotgun Wedding in 2010. In 2011 he drew the first issue of a Teen Wolf series, written by David Tischmann, for MTV Comics.
He is working on a series called One Bad Mother with Angel writer Brian Lynch, and a self-written, creator-owned project called Half Past Danger, the process of which he is chronicling online.
