Universal Soldier was a serial in 2000AD, created by writer Alan McKenzie and artist Will Simpson in 1987. Max Brewster is a soldier with a "Storyge Chip" implanted in his brain containing all known fighting skills and martial arts. In a combat situation he experiences a "Time Slip", where his personality is replaced by one with the required skills. It is not related to the 1992 movie of the same name.
