About meEdit

The first small press book I saw was either The Dark, or the UNICON89 festival booklet. At the latter I got very excited as I saw a script of mine drawn for the first time by the dearly missed Ivor Lightning Lavery. Along with Davy Francis, Ivor should be rightly recognised as one of the true fathers of modern Ulster comics cartooning.

I've been fairly active in the UK comics publishing, reviewing and commentary scene since 1997 when I published my first book. I resided in Northern Ireland until 2005, and worked on the County Down bedsit humour book Bob's. I also contributed to the NI scene by organising pub meets in Belfast between comics creators between 2000-2002

Since then I've relocated to Oxford, working on the Caption festival, the London Underground comics stall, and Sheridan Cottage - a widely acclaimed column at Comics Village. I recently graduated from Oxford Brookes University with a BA Hons in Combined Studies and Education. Currently my first graphic novel is in the work which relates my time in Ulster during the war on terror.
